The vert first thing cults do is take you away from your friends and family, to remove the most powerful influencers in your life that challenge their authority. This is key. And with women being told to withhold sex from their husband because Trump was elected, it is hard to say how many divorces will result from it. Cults also use the technique of creating language to divide their victims from society and their family. For example, the Hail Bopp Cult came up with new names for men and women, much like the Left has created their own lingo for the 2 sexes. This further alienates them from friends and family who have no idea why their family member may be saying that they no longer know what a woman is.

But the biggest benefit of a cult of all is, once you convince your followers that you have all the answers to all of lifes questions, you no longer have to give them good results. At that point, no matter how much you make them suffer, they will follow you out into the jungle and drink the cool aid, as we have seen Marxist regime after Marxist regime, .like Pol Pot.
