We don't need all the cars that are being made now. Stopping production of the crappiest cars makes the most sense. Leaning on the remaining car companies to start making better cars that last longer than the loans would also make some sense.

Stellantis in America dug a hole for themselves before Trump came along with their poor reliability and inability to unload their inventory of overpriced Rams and Jeeps causing executive heads to roll.

Some dealers still had 3 year old “new” trucks priced the same as the current year. Many got dumped at auction so the dealer could pay the floor plan.
