How come Boehner's and Cantor's bill got 36 votes?

This is a nation run by voters. Dems see what's about to happen and can't stop it. With this one little spending bill, where we sided with the dems to stop the pubs ... The Pubs are now starting to see what their future holds if they don't change ... We have no allegances. We have an agenda of spending responcibly ... If your candidate can't do it, kiss him good bye. Remeber NY-9 ... No one beats our voting block

TPers in the House are under fire, they need to hold the line for one more year. Reenforcements are on the way

The real irony in these posts from the Dems is that in about 16 months, the TP is going to be their best friend. We likely won't have enough votes (after the next election) to stop the Pubs spending problems, so the Dems and TPers ... Like bugs in a rug

They sent ANOTHER bill over to the Senate that had scant chance of passing. They wanted off-sets, for political purposes, in lieu of helping out people who need FEMA assistance.

The Democrats also oppose this particular offset, which would gut the Advanced Technology Vehicle Manufacturing Program, a Bush-era direct loan program designed to help the nation's automakers create new fuel-efficiency technologies.

Both the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Manufacturers oppose the offset provision, warning that the cut would eliminate thousands of jobs.

Why are Boehner & Cantor sending over job-killing bills even the Chamber of Commerce objects to? :eusa_eh: :eusa_wall:

Shouldn't it be good news to lefties that a failed program instituted during the Bush administration would be scrapped? What is it with the left? Do they think the federal government should be an employment agency? The do-nothing democrat majority in the senate seems paralized by indecision. All we see from majority leader Reid is platitudes and political slogans.

The TPers were elected for one purpose.

True: to ‘get rid’ of Obama.
If a bill comes to your attention that is not paid for, VOTE IT DOWN. That isn't to hard to understand is it?

What’s hard for the TPM to understand is that’s not how First World 21st Century governments work – they never have and they never will. It’s perfectly appropriate for modern governments to cycle between deficit and surplus – particularly during times of economic crisis or natural disaster.

This inane, simplistic, and naïve dogma of the TPM with regard to Federal fiscal policies has no application in the modern world, it’s reactionary nonsense.

And the right’s holding hostage of funding for disaster relief is reprehensible.

Except that is not how we work. There is no 'cycle' of deficits and surpluses. Just endless, ever increasing deficits. Deficits so huge, each one sets new historical records. That has to change and has to change NOW. You parrot the deficits in times of hardships but then as soon as a boom comes around you increase spending to insure that deficits remain. It is asinine. Until we get our idiotic debt under control we need to reduce spending. After that is complete, we can actually do what we should have done in the first place, use the cycle that you are referring to.
