She lost by:
(a) being a socialist. People in this country don't want her brand of socialism, so they voted for someone else.
(b) being a liar, and getting caught at it time and again. People don't want that, either.
(c) a&b together. People realized that she was pushing programs they didn't like, and lying about the programs to get them to vote for her anyway. They no longer believe her, so there was no reason to vote for her.

It's not just about Michigan. Her brand had fallen nationwide. And this tipped enough states over to Trump, that she lost the election.
