A couple of reasons:

1) A closer examination of all the so-called "scandals" reveals that there really isn't a whole lot of there there. IOW, it hasn't really been proven that they're the criminals they've been made out to be, Bill Clinton's impeachment notwithstanding.

2) The guy running on the other side is a total ignoramus who not only seems to have hardly any understanding of the government he wants to be the Chief Executive of (except, of course, how he can game the system; helluva lot more to it than that), but acts like a spoiled child. Hell, even a couple of his supporters have talked about him as if he were a child in interviews.
