Just looking at the shear economics of the issue Chicago is worth hundreds of millions of dollars to criminals. Al Capone was reported to have made 160 million in his life over just the south side. So a young un-educated street gang should be able to rake in 10k a month just controlling a few square miles.

Some of those areas would be worth more then others. You can't take the money out of crime because money causes crime or the lack of it.

Breaking street level crime means breaking street level graft. That is simply not going to happen.

I have a daughter who goes to DePaul. She is a senior this year. I have been to Chicago quite a few times to see her. It seems that it is mostly limited to that one area, and we all know what area that is. The liberals, being the true racist assholes, don't care enough. In fact they are fine with them killing each other as long as they do it there and to each other. The National Guard will never be called there.

Well, I wonder why the news media isn't putting these killings front and center? A lot of Americans are apathetic about these things because they are ignorant of the damage close up. 3000 shootings this year ought to be front page, meal time news every day until someone does something about it.
