The majority of people under 65 not on Medicare, Medicaid or VA, if they have health insurance are covered under ACA. Medicaid is affected and Medicare to some extent. The key to ACA is essential health benefits.

Here is the beauty of sales taxes used to fund the Feds.

Never would you file an income tax form. When you buy products with sales taxes included, no clerk will ask you to prove your income. None will seek to know your business. None need to know your income. The rich and poor currently pay sales taxes and it works fine in 9 states.

The problem with Obamacare is that unless you are at the low end of the income scale (it was $45,000 when I was forced onto it), the costs are astronomical for very little coverage. Essentially, for the middle class, it was basically a catastrophic care plan for the price of a great insurance program.

For example, I paid over $800 a month and had a $6,000 deductible, and a very limited network. It was much worse than the private plan I had bought up to then.

And it gets worse. The Obamacare plan was SO bad that I was charged MORE for a visit than if I had no insurance at all! So I paid $800 a month for the “privilege” of paying more than cash-only patients did.

People that weren’t caught up in it have no idea as to how bad it was if you were getting by - in a major city - with an income of $50,000 or $60,000.
