House passes Big, Beautiful Bill

We're gonna stimulate some action
We're gonna get some satisfaction
We're gonna find out what it is all about
After midnight, we're gonna let it all hang out

She don't like, she don't like, she don't like...

When the jobs start disappearing, you will be amazed how many Trump voters will be angry they can't get on Medicaid as easily.

You already have full employment, stupid Lisa. You have more jobs than people looking for work. You're going to have FEWER people working now. Because Trump is sending ALL non-white immigrants, legal and otherwise, home.

Food will rot in the fields, and prices will rise, but you're too stupid to realize it.
Why do you care?

What you Trump supporters don't get is that Trump increased the debt and deficit more than Biden did. Biden didn't create all of that $1.8 trillion. And this new spending bill, will increase it even higher.

And you don't even care, as long as you can find something to spin it into being Biden's fault.
Dude. Trump had been out of office for 3 years. Get a grip

Cutting taxes isn't "spending"....Moreover, maintaining the tax rates "spends" nothing more than the last four years.

That bar graph is a fucking Orwellian lie.
That isn't how it works though. Trump could not afford to make these tax cuts permanently at the time, though he chose to do so on the humongous corporate tax cut.

So every forecast done by our govt on our projected national debt rising on a ten year plan, these tax cuts for us that end next year, have never been included in the 10 yr projection of debt, after 2026, so our projected debt APPEARED to be much less than it really will be, with these tax cuts that end, being extended now.

They are playing tricks like this again in this bill....

They are claiming it only costs us X amount over 10 years for all the things in this bill, which will add X amount to the National debt....

What they are hiding is that things like the tax exemption on overtime measure in the bill, expires in just 2 years....it is not permanent!

So it hides the total cost of the bill and additions to the National debt because this tax break they are taking credit for, really ends in just 2 years...so the other 8 years of the projection of the National debt after this bill passes, is hiding the true cost of this bill if the overtime tax break was permanent or in two years gets extended.

It wasn't just the beloved overtime tax relief measure, others in the bill also expire in 2 or 3 years, and would have to be voted on again to extend them...

This is HIDING what the bill really costs us in additions to the National debt.

I like reading her posts.

She gives me a superiority complex.

Suddenly:

Leftist concern for the national debt!

Where was this 15 years ago?
I've always been concerned about the National debt and 25 years ago, very proud of Clinton/Gingrich balancing the budget, which is the first step in controlling the National debt....quit adding to it!

I also have been very concerned with the continual new tax cuts mainly for the wealthiest among us...adding to the National debt.

So, is it YOU that is not consistent? Is it you that is overjoyed your side passed this debt monstrosity, just so you can claim an ill gotten win for the big spender Trump?

Does anyone know the mechanics of the taxes on tips and overtime?

Will future W2's have your OT on a separate box from your regular pay or will they just not deduct it from your paycheck?

As for tips, most people didn't claim their tips anyway but if you do now, are you going to have to itemize the tips--like show receipts for the Anderson party of 4 who left you a $75 tip in April?

So, is it YOU that is not consistent?
Actually, I don't like this bill either. I like certain elements of it, but it is negated by this insatiable need to raise the debt ceiling.

The markets are getting spooked by this behavior. And I'm getting sick and tired of people not addressing the debt.

It's a great day for everyone. Your cult was voting for the biggest tax increase in history.
Actually, your side chose the trick of these tax cuts expiring when they passed the Trump tax cut, so the tax cut bill would not show in full and truthfully, how much these tax cuts when passed, added to the National Debt.

That was eight years ago, and the BBB is not fixing that.
Actually the SALT was raised to 30 or 40k at the 11th hour, in order to get key Repubs in liberal states to agree to the bill...but from what has been reported...it was too costly to give this larger tax break on property taxes and added more to the National debt than they wanted to show us or than the pay/go rules allowed so they did a little dirty trick...and have this tax cut and larger property tax deduction cap, expiring in 3 or so years in the fine print.

She thinks being Canadian shields her from ridicule. She thought wrong, the interloper she is.
It’s kinda sad, actually. Can you imagine logging on to some Canada-centric site and spending hours bitching over Canada’s elected leader?

But man, when he dropped the ball on Covid and wrecked the economy, it was bad.

He didn't drop the ball and wreck the economy. That is more political bull from left-wing "experts". The US recovery was actually very quick because the economy was on solid footing.

The numbers...don't back your assertions up. What you are positing here..are feelz. :)
You've swallowed the lies that your alt-right media sources have fed you for years telling you there a millions of lazy people not working and living off the government teet...when that problem..doesn't really exist.

They're not necessarily lazy, they just can't find work.

Go to East Hollywood sometime, check it out. It ain't pretty.
