Actually John Dean is a good kick off witness... This is a criminal investigation of the Trump, not of one crime but of many crimes...
Trump will sing all day 'No Collusion' but collusion isn't a crime so it is pretty impossible to be found guilty of it... Trump and his hencemen has tried rewriting the law (one great one is if you can't find a crime there is no obstruction).
Mueller clearly showed Criminal Activity and showed clear evidence of obstruction...

The only 'remarkable comparison' between Watergate and the Trump administration - one which Watergate Felon 'Master manipulator' Dean attempted and FAILED to invoke during his testimony before Congress - is that both involved ILLEGAL SPYING and its attempted COVER-UP!
Both evidence and testimony has exposed that Obama's DOJ, NIA, CIA, and most notably his FBI Directors engaged in FISA Court abuses and Perjury in order to obtain illegal warrants with which to illegally SPY on Republican Presidential Candidate Trump and his team DURING the 2016 Presidential election and to attempt a 'soft coup' after the election in which Trump defeated Hillary Clinton, who they had also obstructed justice / protected to prevent her being indicted for crimes so she could continue in the race.
IMO, the Democrats are making a SERIOUS, CRITICAL mistake. The more / longer they continue to bring up Watergate, the more and more the American people are going to look at the existing evidence of Democrats crimes and associate the DEMOCRATS and DEMOCRAT PARTY with Watergate, NOT the Republicans!

With his conviction for felony offenses, Dean was disbarred as a lawyer in Virginia and the District of Columbia, so he could no longer practice law.[22][23]
