I think that the State of the Union address should be on a macro screen and that the President should probably be delivering it from a different location. This way you could have dozens of venues across the country where people could go and sit down and watch it without all the security concerns. Being separated like that would tend to discourage the toddlerism that seems to surface when people are face to face.
