Hossfly

Happy Heavenly birthday Hossfly. Fly high. The message board has already seemed to have been a little darker since you've been gone. I loved your sense of humor as you never failed to make me laugh and bring a smile to my face, and I'm glad that it seemed like I could always do the same for you as well. Say hello to Kat and Ridgerunner for me if you can. 😊

Oh yes and thanks for serving our country Hossfly, you deserve to rest in peace. :salute:

Man I know that we're just a bunch of words and pictures on a screen here but it's still amazing how I've become attached to certain people. I had a tough time with Kat and Ridgerunner being gone, but I'm having a really tough time with Hossfly being gone. 😞

You don't salute with your left hand. Just FYI.

I appreciate the respect though!

You'd have to take that up with the meme creator, but something didn't look quite right to me about it but I'm not familiar enough with military protocol to spot that as easily.

My main concern and point was to offer my respect to Hossfly in a final 'sign off' to him, and the hope he received a hero's welcome that he deserved in Heaven that he may not have gotten here.

We hoped the trolls could manage to stay civil in such a thread as this, but........

At any rate, we loved ya', Hoss.

Hossfly was a dutiful and admirable man. He had honor and integrity and was a friend who would give the shirt off his back to help another in need. I know he had to be a great father, as well. My sincerest condolences to his remaining family. What a loss to bear. It is with great sadness, I say, Rest in Peace, dearest Hossfly. I will never forget you and the way you served your country and others all through your life. You were a love, in my eyes. 🪷

It really does feel like we lose a family member when somebody we've gotten attached to on here passes doesn't it? 😞

I made a new tribute thread to our lost members.

Why can't you just leave certain things well enough alone as this is about the lives that we're lost on here nothing else.
How ironic? That is precisely what I was thinking about you.

The reason the badlands is more appropriate, is b/c of free speech.
I like nearly everyone, regardless of their politics. You? Not so much it seems.
I want folks to feel free to share what is in their heads and hearts.

If you post a remembrance thread in announcements and feedback, it does not foster honest conversation about topics and people.

True remembrance is encouraged by EVERYONE getting to vent their thoughts and feelings.

If Hoss and Kat were anything, they were honest.

If you don't believe me, go look at the list of people that Hoss follows.

Meh, I wouln't call the Admiral a troll, just a cranky veteran that's a stickler for details that while it's annoying, I can respect that cause I do that too sometimes. And I'll give him credit for trying to be nice about the correction.......in his own way.
