Same with BigBlackDog, one of our very other very special Coffee Shop favorites. He checked in one day though to tell us he had been diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer and he had been given a short time left. Broke a lot of our hearts. He acknowledged a few posts after that but then nothing. Just like Hossfly he was just gone. Also Boedicca has been uncharacteristically absent for quite some time now.

Beautress, formerly FreedomBecki before she got locked out of her old account because she couldn't recall her password, was another almost Coffee Shop original who left abruptly. I think she has moved to Portugal to live with her brother there though.

Gallantwarrior was one of our most faithful who just POOF--one day he was there and posting prolificly and then was not there and has not been there for well over a year now. He was living off the grid in Alaska though and wasn't well so he is especially concerning. Tried to have lunch with him once when he and his daughter were passing through Albuquerque, but we just missed each other. I will always regret that.

Others just left gradually, posting less and less until it was obvious they had found other interests elsewhere. Those I don't worry about so much.
