Hard to know... I don't think kids were politically involved with political parties or even voted much, back then from what I've read? They were protesting against Democratic Presidents leading the War front back then in the 1960s, with hippies... Nixon got there in the 1970s, and then it did get nastier.... But this youth still were not political in the sense of registering to vote in a Party and actually voting....
