Actually, it usually does. For instance, Gay Marriage didn't happen until a slim majority was cool with it. Today, that number is at 70% or higher, and no one cares about gay marriage except the religious nutters.

The country was ready for legal abortion in 1973. The State Legislatures just weren't ready to follow.

I'm not sure what getting angry about something you can't change is contructive or good for your mental health.

Like abortion or not, abortion is a fact of life (and death) in our culture.

You aren't going to outlaw it.

If you are detecting anger, I suspect it is coming from within yourself, and you are projecting it onto me and or others. I agree that's not good for your (or anyone's) mental health.

Government Christians in white evangelical Christian zealot run states are imposing their fake religious morality on state populations.

The only state where the majority want abortion to be illegal is Arkansas.

Here's why gay marriage eventually won.

Because at the end of the day, the only arguments the opponents had was "God says it's bad" and "I think it's icky".

Now, getting back to the point. The vast majority of Americans think abortion should be legal in all or most circumstances. This simply isn't going to change. The best you can hope for is to keep the issue off the ballot in some red states before the voters get fed up and take out the offending legistlators.
