Germany spits in the face of Russian people-.
Russia lost more as 20m during WWII.
Obviously only Jewish people matters for Merkel & Co
Through Merkel's sixteen years long government' the relationship between Germany and Russia is irreparable destroyed.
The blatantly preference of Jews against another victims of Hitler finishes relations between two countries.
Some 6,500 Holocaust survivors who lived through the siege of Leningrad, hid in Nazi-occupied France or survived persecution in Romania are newly eligible to receive pension allowances from Germany, it was announced Wednesday.
The Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany (Claims Conference), which negotiates reparations, restitution and other compensation claims on behalf of Holocaust victims, said in a statement that the survivors will receive a monthly stipend for the first time with a value of $443
The reaction of Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov
The German government's unwillingness to compensate all Leningrad siege survivors regardless of their nationality is a "blatant injustice," said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, speaking at the World Congress of Russian Compatriots.
According to the minister, as "compensation," the German authorities offered to repair a hospital in St. Petersburg and set up a "meeting center" for veterans from both sides. At the same time, Lavrov added that "this does not cancel out the blatant injustice."
"The Holocaust is a crime, but what the Nazis did in Leningrad - there was no distinction between Jews and Russians, Tatars, Georgians, Armenians, whoever lived there," the Russian foreign minister stressed.
Lavrov said that the issue is about payments made by the German government only to Jews who were blockaded. According to him, the Foreign Ministry has been trying to resolve this issue for ten years.
"To our questions, what about all the others who also survived in inhumane conditions - they said, 'No, you see, we have a legal responsibility to Jewish citizens, wherever they live, due to the fact that there was a Holocaust, and the remaining blockade victims of Leningrad were not subjected to the Holocaust,'" Lavrov said.
The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that German authorities have been promoting this logic for many, many years.
Earlier, it became known that the German government agreed to compensate the Jewish survivors of the blockade of Leningrad during World War II. It is specified that the German authorities are obliged to begin paying pensions to the Jewish blockade survivors.
Meanwhile it is about 6.5 thousand people who live mainly in Israel, North America, the former Soviet Union and Western Europe.
