Holidays seem hard now

I was supposed to go see my sister's kids for thanksgiving but my partner got pneumonia and got checked into the hospital yesterday. So I didn't go and today I just feel really sad and miss my sister. It's the first thanksgiving since she committed suicide in june and it just feels sad without her.

So sorry, it's tough. The first Holidays after my mom died several years ago were really awful. The best thing about them now is my 4 year old daughter.

I lost my mom last February, and one year seems a long way away.

She had a long happy life and died at 94.
