His name is Jesus. He is a carpenter. ICE arrested him

Making someone suffering somewhere is validation to the right that no one is taking advantage of them. I mean if someone is making a life for themselves somehow that specifically hurts maga and the tiny pile of dirty they think they have to protect. Meanwhile… keep voting for my tax breaks! Woo hoo.

He wasn't even hurting MAGA outside of seeing a brown person.

It seemed his hard work was paying off when he was accepted into the carpenters apprenticeship program at the KML Carpenters Training Center in the winter of 2024. The promise of working construction wasn’t as alluring as being an engineer, but it was a step up the ladder. His family was elated.

Then, this year, Jesus’s life was thrown into chaos. On July 8, he went for a customary check-in at the ICE Pittsburgh field office. But he was detained and sent to the Moshannon Valley Processing Center in Phillipsburg, three hours away from where the family lives.

Jesus’s detention resembles thousands of other stories that are quickly defining American society in the age of Trump deportations. It has shaken his church community and inspired local leaders, union representatives, and Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh retired Bishop David Zubik to write more than twenty letters on his behalf.

This is Stephen Miller's dream come true. The game plan is not instill fear in the immigrant community and to remove as many "non-whites" from our society as possible. Honestly, the tactics mirror NAZI Germany in the 1930's, and we know how that turned out. The US is becoming the Hungary of the West. We will soon be a democracy in name only with rigged election, state controlled media, and an executive controlled judiciary.
AND HERE IS THE FINE PRINT THAT JIMH52 AND THE REST OF THE TRUMP BASHERS IGNORE. FROM THE POSTED ARTICLE:
Charles Kuck, a top immigration lawyer, said that even if Jesus’s asylum claim were denied during the Biden administration, it wasn’t a guarantee that he would have to be immediately removed. There are cases where people receive a withholding of removal, Kuck explained, “when they don’t want to deport you, if you’re a good person.”

Jesus’s family declined multiple requests to speak for this story, so additional details about his case are difficult to glean

In other words, Jesus (pronounced HAY-ZOOZ for the idiot Trump Haters) is not going anywhere. Another FAIL THREAD by JimH52.

Churchill once said democracy is the worst system except for all the others. The same can be said of US immigration laws; they are brutal but the only alternative is to open US borders and that is the reason Democrats have refused for so long to reform US immigration law: even Democrats don't want open borders but there is no other alternative to the present laws.

The law is simple, if you are undocumented you have no right to be here no matter how long you have been here. The Democrats' response to the law is also simple: work to undermine existing immigration law while refusing to reform it. The reason the Democrats refuse to reform existing immigration law is that there is no tenable alternative to existing law: if you are undocumented you have no right to be here.

This regime does not care. They have a lot of work to do to whiten America. The white South Africans trump imported were a real boost for MAGA racists.
Products that should cost a dime cost a dollar now. Industrial products and military products cost at least twice as much as it should. Technology is wasted as the corrupted and sinful takes control more and more. Jesus also told us about that.

It seemed his hard work was paying off
1. It didn't.
2. The hard work comes from applying legally and earning citizenship.

This is a textbook case of how all the hard work you do can be undone by one mistake, intentional or unintentional.

From the accounts he did apply legally.

Geez this is maybe the most desperate OP ever, in their defense of keeping illegals around to exploit for cheap labor

Not as a matter of law, but as a matter of policy by the Biden administration. That policy changed and when it did, he became undocumented.

This is a shocking example of the gross cynicism and incompetence of the Biden administration, indeed of the whole Democratic leadership. Biden granted asylum to the whole population of Venezuela as a gesture to show how opposed Biden and his diaper changers were to that government. If this policy had become law, Jesus the carpenter would have been protected under US law, but if it had become law, it would have established a legal basis for every citizen of every abusive country in the world to claim the right to come to America, and even the Democrats are not stupid enough or crazy enough to want that. As it is, Jesus the carpenter is a victim of the Democrats' wanton disregard for US immigration law.

By law.

He followed the actual laws of the United States by all accounts.
