VICE PRESIDENT HILLARY; SPECULATION INTENSIFIES IN WASHINGTON

Official Washington and the entire press corps will be rocked when Hillary Rodham Clinton is picked as Kerry's VP and a massive love fest will begin!

So predicts a top Washington insider, who spoke to the DRUDGE REPORT on condition he not be named.

"All the signs point in her direction," said the insider, one of the most influential and well-placed in the nation's capital. "It is the solution to every Kerry problem."

This could make things interesting, but I think if it happens it could backfire. I believe this would unify conservatives and make President Bush a shoe in.

Highly possible for many reasons . The media ALREADY loves the Clintons . My bet is that this one will be happen and be a surprise that will will keep the Dems on a high until Nov. They may have finally decided to run thier best horse now as the demise of the Bush administration has become so critical !

They'll never pick her. SHe's too divisive. Plus all the vince foster/rose law firm/shady land deals/ murder would come to light again. She'd be better off just accepting that senator is as high as she will get. Like teddy.

I think their only chance would be edwards. I kind of like the guy even, and since he's from the south, I would assume he would not be as liberal, but I don't really know his record. Is he a big lib, anyone?

The word on the street is that kerry would not pick him, because he wouldn't want to be outshone by his vp. Kerry is such a dud.

I dont think the unions are going to let him pick anyone but Gephardt (sp?) Kerry has already shown he wont and cant afford to buck the unions. Calling him a dud is putting it mildly.

kiss of death for Kerry...
Everytime I think of New York voting her Senator it lessens my opinion of those in that state. Whew did they get conned or what...?

What is the deal with the Republican's obsession with having Hilary be the vp? I'm sick of hearing these stories that have absolutely no basis in realty, Hilary will not be the VP! I'm sure this is more of Dick Morris's biting the hand that fed him, obviously he fed very well too.

Scary thing i heard today is Govenor Rendell as a possible choice yuck.

That was a few months ago Avatar. I think he's pretty far down on the list of possibilities. Also, I think if he were chosen as VP, Pennsylvania would definitely go to Bush, and with it being one of the swing states, I dont foresee Kerry choosing Eddie.

Lucky for us, he'll remain our Governor.
