I tend to think being nominated for the Secretary of State slot, being approved by the Senate 94-2 (that 94 includes Lindsay Graham and Mitch McConnell) is an accomplishment. Many have run for office and have failed and a Senate confirmation hearing is not a shoo-in. Others feel it is not an accomplishment.

Oh well.

During her tenure as Senator, she primarily had a GOP President and the Senate was in GOP control for much of her service time. Still, she sponsored 20 bills that made it out of the committee and was approved by the body. There were some major pieces of legislation in there. Three minor ones went on to become laws. Accomplishments? Not bad. It speaks to her ability to work across the aisle. I would ask you to look at what the other Senators running for office have done and compare their service time and party influence both in the Senate and the Oval Office.
