The Chenys and Bushs are very powerful DC influences. Trump may think it's best not to poke the bear at this time. I don't see Trump getting distracted by the Democrats. He has and is implementing the policies he campaigned on. You also have to remember Trump's 'Big Beautiful Bill' was only recently passed. Implementation will take a bit. Trump also is dealing with foreign conflicts and issues that directly affect America. Also, let's not forget the Democrats are doing everything in their power to stop deportations of illegal aliens. Trump's biggest hurdle, by 2006, is to bring down prices across the board. Especially groceries and food.
