Wasn't he the guy who, from right field snuck up behind a runner on first and picked him off? As I recall, the first baseman was creeping in to field a potential bunt so the runner on first took a huge lead. Enter Johnstone who took the throw and picked him off. It may have been someone else...

I seem to remember him doing a lot of pinch hitting.

yea i know him....lived in Anaheim for many years....saw him in the beginning of his career....thats to bad....
