Hero Dog Saves Woman From Mountain Lion

California, mountain lion attacks woman, her 55 pound dog walking ahead comes to her rescue saving her life sacrificing itself to pull the lion away and would have been killed if not for the owner and another person finally getting the dog free. Gravely injured, the woman has spent thousands in emergency vet bills and a GoFundMe trying to save the dog's life, and the dog looks to be making a slow recovery.

An unhappy ending to the story. A month after saving her owner from a mountain lion attack, the dog's injuries got the best of her and she had to be put to sleep.
