I never said the alt-right doesn’t have an antisemitism problem.

The issue is that antisemitism and Israel-hate are prevalent on the mainstream Left. That’s why presidents of liberal universities were unwilling to condemn calls to murder the Jews….why liberal universities allowed No Jew Zones (and in one case used university funds for the barriers)….why Mandomi not only was unwilling to condemn his wife’s celebration of the HAMAS massacre but invited an ant-Israel activist to dinner the next day….why a Democrat congresswoman has a map outside her office with Israel wiped out….and why leftists side with Islamists who try to bomb a Jewish Day care center or murder a young Jewish couple outside a Jewish museum….antisemitism in DEI offices….etc., etc. etc.

It is WORSE ON THE LEFT.

I am an old leftist, in both senses of the word. During the War in Vietnam, I was not attracted to the new left, but to the old socialist - labor left of Norman Thomas and Walter Reuther.

That is true of Communism. It is not true of what I advocate, which is social democracy.

We have some elements of a social democracy already - social security, Medicare, and of course welfare payments to women who won’t use birth control and won’t get a job.

In my attitudes toward the poor, I draw a distinction between the working poor and the underclass.

The working poor perform necessary work. Nevertheless, they earn minimum wage, or little more. They get no health benefits and retirement benefits from their jobs. They play the game by the rules and win none of the prizes.

The underclass live on welfare checks and the gains of criminal activities. Karl Marx recognized the distinction by referring to the proletariat and the lumpen proletariat.

For the working poor I advocate a high minimum wage and laws to strengthen labor unions. We tried that during the New Deal and they worked.

For working and middle class people I advocate socialized medicine and affordable college education for those who qualify.

For the underclass I recommend making sterilization a requirement for receiving welfare checks. I also recommend a much tougher, meaner criminal justice system.

I think I have answered your questions.

Forgetting to pay the gas bill on time is a mistake. Picking an unmarketable major is a mistake. Hell, taking your $500 bonus and putting it all on red is a mistake (well, half the time)

Words aren't bad, it's the people that make them bad depending on how they use them or define them. We have a Democrat problem, and it's because they use word's in ways that suggest many unsavory things, and then they want to force it on ya.
