Sundown Laws (blacks could be arrested in certain towns if they were still there at night.)

Debt Peonage (Arresting blacks on flimsy charges, and then putting them into servitude by charging them the costs of their incarceration.)
Miscegenation Laws (Laws that prevented blacks from marrying whites)
Sharecropping (Putting blacks in debt for growing crops)
Lynching - the non-judicial murder of blacks accused of crimes, often without trial.
Voter Suppression - Tricks like poll taxes and literacy tests to keep them from voting, and Republicans are still doing it!!!

Hey, blacks could have requested to be returned to their homeland after being freed by such a horrific people that abused and enslaved them, but they didn't make that request because they liked what they saw here, and especially what they saw in the gratitude of the Union that fought and died so valiantly for them. Another part was that they felt that they had no home after their own people had sold them as slaves to the entire world. Sad situation..

Of course Black's who were uneducated and resentful of the parts of society that had worked them as slaves after being released from bondage, caused that guilty side of society to not be so quick to except a race that might be out for revenge and possibly would have had quiet domestic terrorist idea's for those who were guilty of working them as slaves. You see there was a huge part of America that had figured that blacks were less than them in as far as being a civilized excepted people back then because of the events in which they were acquired. They were seen as laborers that had a place in the lower end of the system only, so they easily worked them as slaves as if it was a normal thing at the time.

Being that they were freed and not deported, it created a situation that caused a deep suspicion and trust issue for white Americans to be exposed to black Americans that might be looking to get back at white Europeans who had engaged in slavery after 1865.

All the year's and the progress made in mending those trust issue's has brought us as Americans to a more unified people of all races in these modern times.

The exploitation of the issue by racist on either the black side or the white side of said issue is keeping the coals to the fire.

It's time to end it by implementing fully the merit and character judgement that Martin Luther King spoke about. That should finish it, and bring the nation fully together. It will leave the true racist exposed.
