Then how do you explain Jews who came here in the early 20th century, without a penny, not speaking English, straight off the boat from their little poor shtetl in Russia….and a generation later their kids have college degrees and own a house in the suburbs?

THEY weren’t building wealth for 244 years. Or even 100 years. In the space of 25 years, Immigrant Generation to First-Born American Generation, they went from a cold-water tenement in the city to a split-level house in the suburbs.

My family came here from Poland and Russia escaping from persecution.
3 brothers and their wives pooled their resources and bought an apartment building. They all lived there. As each made enough money to buy a home they moved and their room was rented. Soon the entire building was rented and the income paid off the mortgage. My father a DR put his office there and his parents lived there as well for free. Then he retired and sold the building which had increased in value. Thats called the family corporation.

You people dont have families and you value getting over on each other. Thats why youre poor.

Your history is amazingly similar to my own - right down to a run-down apartment building my family bought as a joint effort, and fixed up with blood equity. (They were in this country for more than 10 years before they could come up with the money.) Saved them through the Depression and WWII, as grandma and grandpa were in one (with my mother and her sibling)….a great-uncle and his family was in another….and my great-grandparents were in a third. The other four apartments were rented for $25 each, and the $100 monthly income was split among the family to run the apartment and buy food.

By the early 1950s, everyone had moved out (and up). They sold it around 1970 for a nice profit.
