Not a bad list, but I don’t think any of those would be in my top ten.

Good songs but would not make my top ten.

I think Jimi Hendrix was a Brit. :dunno:

Wow, some great music there! I'm a fan of ALL of these musicians' music. Did you mean BETSY Smith for "Dead Man's Blues"? Her music is just fantastic. I haven't heard that particular song by Wainwright, I'll have to look it up.

Would any British hits be in your top 20?
There definitely WOULD be some in my top 20. Including "Hey Jude" and "In My Life" by the Beatles, and "Maggie May" by Rod Stewart. And "Honky Tonk Women" by the Rolling Stones.

Yea, "Times They are a" is a good one.

But I'm not sure Bob Dylan spoke American.

Seattle, Washington.
Yes, he WAS from Seattle. Good call. He actually became famous in the UK BEFORE he became famous here in the US. He toured quite a bit and performed there before he did this in the States. And I BELIEVE his music was played on the radio in the UK before it was played on the radio here.
