I learned how to tie a proper hangman's noose in fourth grade in NM. That's how you handle rustlers--I learned watching Gunsmoke, Wagon Train, Rawhide and a few other great westerns of those days. LOL

He actually taught me most of the knots, and I learned them.
A proper noose has 13 loops and is pretty much like a fishing knot but with 4 extra loops.
