Here is Why the The FED is a Joke

The Fed board members are worried about inflation.

They have always been worried about inflation.

And they will always be worried about inflation.

Inflation got up to 12% in 1975 and 14% in 1980 and they are old enough to remember that well.

Apparently you Geaux4it are NOT old enough.

Great column. Must read!!!

Corruption is rampant, but don't expect our corrupt government and MSM to fix or inform.
When folks say African nations are corrupt, or Latin American governments are corrupt, or Russia is corrupt, I laugh, they have no idea.

In this category, we are certainly number one. We are so corrupt, we are the pros at this. Our corruption is so legendary, so professional, so vast, that regular folks are unaware of the magnitude of the corruption. The corruption is so endemic, it touches nearly everyone. They have regular people involved in the corruption, and they are unaware that they are participating in it, without even getting a cut of it other than living in the most cushy nation on Earth. Now THAT is some professional corruption. :cool-45:

and should be audited. As always, they have the cart ahead of the horse. While I do believe that the country will be in better shape at end of the year compared to the beginning, they should wait and respond accordingly once the data, not 'hope' improves. Kudos to the reporter that put Yellen on the spot

Startled Reporter Asks Why Yellen Hiked With GDP And Real Wages Sliding: Here Is The Response

Today's FOMC press conference was the standard affair. Reporters ask broad questions, Yellen responds with even broader comments that amble aimlessly leaving no one any wiser as to The Fed's true intent. That is, until Bloomberg TV's Kathleen Hays decided enough was enough, and wanted to get to the bottom of just why a "data-dependent" Fed is hiking in a world in which economic data is rapidly deteriorating.

the drug war should be audited first.
Like all wars, the drug war is designed to enrich and empower government. It does not need auditing, it needs terminating...but alas, I know that won't ever happen.
Audit the Drug War, not the Fed!

If you read that article I posted, you would see that they are one in the same.

The truly amazing thing is how easily the government and big media can dupe millions of Americans. I have learned to question everything the government and big media proclaim, because after all they have a very long history of lying.

People who expose the lies and corruption by government, as Gary Webb did, are denigrated and demonized by the media and government. It is all very disgusting...if America was really great, there would be a monument to Gary Webb and many others like him in DC.

Yeah, I have been waffling on the legitimacy of this Edward Snowden guy for some time.

I didn't know whether or not he was a honeypot or a limited hangout. Generally, REAL whistle blowers don't get a lot of media attention. He seems to get entirely too much attention from the MSM.

Now I am convinced. I don't have a TV and don't pay attention to mainstream culture very much, so I was completely unaware that Hollywood made this;

Like the movie Social Media, when the establishment starts making propaganda to mold the minds of the plebes on how they should view their reality, you can bet that the actors in the play are part of the system, they are playing a designated role.

I think Naomi Wolfe was probably closer to the truth.
http://www.globalresearch.ca/my-cre...-snowden-is-not-who-he-purports-to-be/5339161

She stands in good company;
Eric Holder Praises “Edward Snowden” for Doing What I Said He Was Doing Years Ago, Being a Sheepdipped CIA Asset

Mr. Snowden, It’s Time to Come Out and Take a Stand Publicly as to Your Intentions

(Bear in mind, this impugns Greenwald and the Intercept's integrity as well as that of the Wire.)

OTH, Naomi Wolfe, Sybel Edmonds, Bill Cooper, Sherry Peel Jackson, Susan Lindauer, Michael C Ruppert, etc. Whistle blowers generally die or have their lives ruined, they don't get made popular and have their lives lionized. That's how you know, Gary Webb is the real deal.

If lots of folks know about them, chances are, they aren't really a threat to the establishment.

Oh, and how could I forget. . . . Aaron Russo! He probably paid with his life for his work too.

Because the economy is not "rapidly deteriorating."

You should stop reading fake news sites like ZeroMoney.

No, they are not. Central banking was found necessary and proper, since the Second Bank of the United States.

Solving for simple poverty on an at-will basis through unemployment compensation, simply for being unemployed on an at-will basis in our at-will employment States; would solve the problem of dollars chasing education on an at-will basis, as well.

Oh, and how could I forget. . . . Aaron Russo! He probably paid with his life for his work too.

we subscribe to capitalism.

. . . and yet none of the Banks in your town have competing interest rates for capital?

Hmm. . . sounds like socialism for the rich. . . .

Real free markets don't use the government to destroy and restrict capital for the interests of a tiny minority of the population.

What Will Trump Do About the Central-Bank Cartel?

Not sure what you mean. Credit is dependent on risk.

Audit The Fed!

-----------

House Committee Passes Bill To "Audit The Fed"

The Republican-controlled Committee on Oversight and Government Reform approved a bill earlier today to allow for a congressional audit of the Federal Reserve's monetary policy, a proposal Fed policymakers have opposed and likely faces a difficult path to final approval in the Senate. Under the bill, the Fed’s monetary policy deliberations could be subject
to outside review by the Government Accountability Office.

While similar bills have garnered some support from Democrats in the past, they uniformly spoke against the current proposal during a meeting of the House of Representatives suggesting the current iteration would face stronger resistance from an increasingly polarized environment in Washington D.C..

The House previously passed similar versions of this legislation twice before in 2012 and 2014, with dozens of Democrats joining nearly unanimous Republican support. That said, those bills both died in the Senate and likely would have faced a Presidential veto from Obama had they survived anyway.

That said, Trump expressed interest in passing such legislation multiple times during the 2016 campaign cycle which means the 3rd time might just be the charm for Republicans.
