Nebraska grows Corn, Wheat, Soy, Dried Beans, Sugar Beets, Hay and Alfalfa, Beef, Pork and Dairy. Of all those only Dairy is labor intensive and that only once a day to hook up the milking machines. Other than the last three, all are machine harvested and raised. Beef and Pork take very small human staffs, who usually just maintain fences and watering points.

None that are raised in Nebraska, in fact almost all crops can be harvested by machines now. Here are the only crops that still have to be manually harvested/processed: Saffron- not grown in the USA. vanilla-again not grown in the USA, mostly Mexico, Madagascar and Indonesia. Chocolate-again not grown in the USA, Palm Oil, again not grown in the USA, mostly South East Asia and the Philippines. So tell us again why we need thousands of farm workers in Nebraska.
