Attention USMB Sleuths.
I know some of us are tired of all the speculations about the shooting of Charlie Kirk, what with all the far-fetched conspiracy theories and all. I hope this thread will be better than that.
Long story short, the physics that we can see (violent reaction of the shirt, location of the entry wound, etc.) in the videos we have, along with what we are being told (caliber, distance, angles, and leaked autopsy findings), are just not adding up for me.
Regardless of the fatigue, I'm still determined to understand why the supposed 'facts' we have still aren't mathing.
Anyway, here's what I've gathered, and I'm also going to posit a theory that I've not found elsewhere, to explain why there (according to reports) was no exit wound.
To start, I put the distance, elevations, and approximate angle of the trajectory in this image. I also take into account the building's height.
This is another image of the shooter's position (foreground) with Charlie's tent in the background, to show the line of sight and downward slope. The evidence markers indicate where Robinson was supposedly positioned.
Now comes my theory (but I've yet to find anything in the images to support it.)
I shared earlier that it appears that the bullet struck the chain on Charlie Kirk's necklaces. (we can see the broken chain fly out of his shirt, on impact.) However, a neck chain changing the direction of a 30-06, deflecting it upwards into Charlie's neck, does not "Math" to me. Supposedly, Charlie was not wearing a bulletproof plate or vest. So, again. . . . working with what we have.
In this video, we see the shooter on the roof, and he is back a little ways from the edge.

There is a parapet/flashing around the roof edge that is sloped inward (zoom in) towards the center of the roof.
Anyone who has shot with a scope long enough has had an occasion where, just because you can see the target through the scope, that doesn't mean the barrels (2-3 inches below the scope) will not be blocked.
Please bear with me. . . what it the shot caught the edge of that flashing just enough to interfere with the shot, but not cause a miss? Suppose it caused the round to tumble/ lose energy etc?
I'm just putting it out there to gather your thoughts. I am not claiming this is what happened.
Sleuthers help me out with this.
