help getting info re: Florida votes not counted?

have been searching this forum, but wow...soo many threads.

I need 'ammo' against a liberal who, on another forum, made the comment: "Maybe if GWB hadn't gotten all those florida votes thrown out, Gore would have won and blah blah, no iraq war, blah blah"

Help?

I read a book called "36 Days," which was nothing more than every NYT article on the election from the day after the election until the SCOTUS decision forcing Florida to abide by its own laws. I would suggest, then, starting with the NYT archives (as liberal as it is).
