Hell YES! Unions!

Because their employees are smart enough to organize and force them. If not, they shouldn't. They should keep wages as low as they can. That's what corporations do. We get it.

Companies only paid American workers as well as they did back when America was great because unions forced them to. Even non union companies had to raise salaries to compete with union shops. Or they paid better for fear their employees would unionize.

And corporations have been pretty successful at breaking unions. They threaten the people that they will move. So most of the people who want to unionize don't because they don't want to lose their shitty paying jobs. Something's better than nothing. And this my friend is just one way the rich have assaulted the middle class.

How about the illegal employers? How much have they stolen from American workers?

Cristhian Rivera, charged in Mollie Tibbetts' death, worked at a farm owned by a prominent Iowa Republican family

I agree, we need to boot illegal aliens.
Ignore the rich making a fortune on the labor, blame the poor. Your elitist worship is sickening.

Ignore the rich making a fortune on the labor,

How much is labor paid? How much do the rich make?
Should the rich hire labor in order to lose money?
Why do you feel I'm ignoring simple economics?

Your elitist worship is sickening.

Your economically ignorant whining is comical.
Profits are growing, wages are stagnant.

How stagnant? Link?
The blue collar trump said he’d MAGA are still struggling

the fact is trump only had 2.3% growth in 2019.

“Prosperity Through Lower Wages!”

Imagine how prosperous we'd be if we outlawed profit, eh comrade?
Or if we in-law Ed profit sharing. There must be a formula that’s fair.

how about the ceo can’t make more than 300x the average worker?

How much did WalMart spend on wages in 2019?
How much was their 2019 profit?

I looked it up the other day why what’s your point?

If you ask me we still have too many illegals in America. This is why wages are still so low.

give you an example. My brother hires two mexicans for $40 hr. You buy the parts needed but labor for two guys is only $40 hr. We have major employers all over the country hiring illegals and the government knows who they are. They aren’t that dumb. But this is why wages are flat. Still the market is flooded with workers willing to work for Walmart.

fuck them. Most of them don’t vote or voted for trump. Lol

Post it here.

I agree, booting 20 million illegal aliens will improve low-end wages for citizens.

I know nothing about McDonalds. But, I owned a Midas franchise for 13 years. I ran my business 100%. Midas had nothing to do with it.

Mark

I recall 100 years ago (the late 60s, early 70s when Midas guaranteed their mufflers for life. I had a '66 GTO, it went through mufflers like it did gas! I bought two in Miami and Midas replaced one three times and one four times over the ensuing years. The local shop would check the serial number on the muffler with one on my receipt and the VIN number on the car. I loved Midas!

No one said raise their costs TOO MUCH. What's TOO MUCH? Define that.

They're very profitable. They should share those profits with employees. Instead, a lot of Walmart employees are on foodstamps. Where do you think those employees spend their food stamps dollars? At Walmart. It's a brilliant business model if we allow it.

Why should a company share its profits with workers? The company is taking the risk, has investment and responsibilities. IF a company were to share their profits with the employees, then it stands to reason that in lean years the employees would agree to lower wages and if the company was in dire straits, they would work for nothing. That sounds fair, doesn't it?

Given the average wages paid by Walmart, no one would qualify for welfare benefits UNLESS they had made poor personal decisions. How is that the fault or responsibility of Walmart?

Wages are many, many times profits.
I think some liberals don't realize that.

I’m waiting for you to answer the question.

Every full time worker should make enough they don’t need public assistance. That’s the only way to shrink government. All the corporate socialism is growing government.

Find them and post them and get to the inevitable point you want to make. I’m on a fucking tablet I don’t know how to cut and paste plus I don’t take homework assignments from usmb cons.

I did look them up. I forgot the numbers. They could afford to pay more.

of course that would cut into profits and take workers off foodstamps

The Waltons have more than enough to pay them so they aren't on food stamps. And they are working harder than the waltons.

You have yet to answer WHY is it Walmart's responsibility for poor decisions made by their employees? "Because they have it" is not a reason.

So I'd prefer they [Walmart] pay for those who are making them billions rather than the tax payer. I'm a small government guy like that.

Why do you think that Walmart, making bad decisions affecting their fiduciary relationship with their stockholders, is a good thing?

Walmart Inc. (WMT) Income Statement - Yahoo Finance

In the FY ending 1/31/2020, they had $523.964 billion in revenue (the stuff they sold)
Their cost of revenue was $394.605 billion (what they paid to buy the stuff they sold)
Gross profit was $129.359 billion.
They paid $108.791 billion in wages and other administrative expenses.
$2.599 billion in interest expenses.

Their total income, before tax was $20.116 billion.
After tax income of $15.2 billion.

Looks like employees are getting something like 5 times the pre-tax profit, 7 times the after tax profit.
