According to some, this is still full of pork and it would still be bad for the GOP. The Dems do not want it though, so this is perfect politically.

If Dems vote no, the GOP can now tell the American People "this funds the government in a clean, responsible manner for three months, but Dems want their big funding at the expense of the America taxpayer"

This could work out really well politically for Trump even though he prematurely applauded this.

House Democrats are balking at the latest iteration of a spending plan that was released on Thursday by Speaker Mike Johnson.

"The Musk-Johnson proposal is not serious, it's laughable. Extreme MAGA Republicans are driving us to a government shutdown," said House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

Rep. Richard Neal, D-Mass., indicated Democratic leadership would whip their members to vote "no" on the deal.

The RNC/DNC corporations engineered 50/50 split in the lower/upper chambers of congress guarantees stalemates, blunts, dead end ally's, stymies, finger pointing, doors that lead to no where, pin the tail on the donkey, closed door sessions, double speak, with the end result more g'ment agencie$ to $olve the problem.

It’s not a good time to give democrats anything. **** them.

Well really this will be the last vote they have any power over right? On Jan 20th new faces replace old ones, correct? Or maybe I am wrong.

Wrong. Republicans will need Democratic votes. That doesn't change in January. President Musk, and First Lady Trump are going to find out that changing old Republicans for new Republicans isn't going to be a winner for them.

It's only going to get worse for Mr. and Mrs. Musk after the midterms.

Not if Trump heeds the advice of Musk and Vivek and actually focuses on getting America back on track.

If he becomes the GOP version of Biden/Harris, than yes, he will lose massive support with his Party and the Dems will steamroll the GOP in two years.

He has to prove in the first two years that his promises matter. The only way to decrease inflation is to decrease the money supply. Even better if he can combine that with immense growth and wage increases for the Middle Class.

Otherwise it would be better to see the old First Term Trump who was determined to enact his campaign promises.

This is the same thing that happens every ******* time the budget comes up: It turns into a dick-measuring contest to see which side gets the blame for the imaginary boogieman of "government shutdown."

Except this time, our dicks are bigger than theirs, that is, unless that ***** Speaker of the House goes all "kumbaya" and tries to "go along to get along" with the obstructive Democrats.

Musk reposted a claim that the bill would provide $3 billion for a new NFL stadium in Washington. Not true: The bill transfers control of the site of the existing RFK Stadium to the D.C. local government for redevelopment, which could potentially include a stadium. No federal funds are changing hands as part of the transaction.

Musk didn’t seem to think a government shutdown would have significant consequences for the country. He responded “YES” to a post that read, “Just close down the govt until January 20th. Defund everything. We will be fine for 33 days.” Another Musk post said a shutdown “doesn’t actually shut down critical functions.”

The billionaire falsely claimed that members of Congress would get a 40 percent pay raise as part of the package — something both Musk and the X account for his so-called Department of Government Efficiency got wrong.

Members of Congress have not had a raise to their $174,000 salaries since 2009, after repeatedly freezing a law implementing automatic cost-of-living increases. The pending CR does not include a COLA freeze, but that would not result in a 40 percent boost in pay — far from it. The maximum potential pay adjustment would be 3.8 percent, an increase of $6,600.

He’s also wrong that the bill shields the Jan. 6 committee — a claim that may have helped draw Trump further into the debate.

Here we go again with the latest leftist talking points.
They're really not even talking points.
When dumb people have no info, data, or facts to back up their conclusions they will start to call people names or try to cancel them.
It's literally an admission of stupidity.
You are a mental midget.

Why use politico as a source? They are the mouth of the democrats. Anything you post from politico makes you a fool.
