I don't support the blanket pardon of criminals. I also don't support giving Draconian prison sentences to people because of their political beliefs. One of the pillars of our legal system is the banning of "selective prosecution"! Would you like to explain why the idiots that rioted on Jan. 6th should be getting sentenced to YEARS in prison while the idiots that riot against ICE have gotten slaps on the wrist?

The local Police aren't allowed to respond to any reported "demonstrations" at the Federal facility by order of the Mayor of Portland. Antifa can do whatever they want and the Democratic leaders of that city and State won't touch them.

I also don’t think selective prosecution or excessive punishment is appropriate nor do I support it. If that happened to Jan 6ers then it should be addressed case by case and officials should be punished. Blanket pardons does nothing to fix that problem if it actually happened. It just makes things worse and loses all credibility that Trump believes in law and order

The Constitution grants specific powers to the states and to the federal government. Trump is overstepping his Constitutional powers and should be impeached for it.

There is precedent for the federal government protecting federal assets within a state.

I havent seen any reports about police not being able to respond to rioting or violence. I’ve actually seen the opposite where Portland police are making arrests for any protests that get violent. Can you show an example report of what you’re talking about ?
