Zone1 have you ever seen something ghostly?

what do you think of it?

.

About seeing your aunt at the time she died?

Right on the money.

I believe that happens frequently.

i did not see her ..... i only felt her presence

i was going to add that although i never had a 'ghostly' encounter - i have my mother & father visit me & i believe also my brother. my father smoked cigars, & there are times i will walk into a room, leave for a minute & when i return, i will smell them. i have felt my mom's presence once i was thinking about her & was misty when i felt my hair move away from my neck just like she used to do. as for my brother, i have gotten nudged or poked a couple time & think it's him.

i also believe i have my angels.

i like to watch these guys on youtube - they are investigators of the paranormal.

I have had an experience similar to your smelling cigar smoke, with my sister's favorite perfume.

I also believe we have our angels.

can you tell us of such cases? 😊
.

My brother's wife could not sleep in their bed after he died. She was lying on the couch, trying to fall asleep, when she got a sensation and opened her eyes, to see him standing in the middle of the large glass coffee table.

Different story, same brother. When he died, he had been on serious pain medication for several days, to the point that he could not focus his eyes. When his death was imminent, he was in such intense pain that the doctor started giving him even bigger doses.

Then, suddenly, he sat up, focused his eyes right on something in front of him, and saw something that he wanted, that he held his arms out to grasp. Then he died.

I makes me far more confident about what my own death will be like.

Once in the late 90's when my grandmother's dementia first started slowly setting in, she was reminiscing about an unhappy time in her 20's, when her father abandoned the family and her mother became ill. My grandmother became the main breadwinner for the family for a time, working as a secretary at a law firm (late 1930's). She was tearful when she recalled coming home after long days, only to be tormented by one of her sisters that she was not as beautiful, etc..

We, about 5 or 6 of us, were gathered around her in the living room listening to her decades-old grievance. I was standing with my back to the fireplace, about 3 feet behind me. At that moment I spoke in my grandmother's defence "No, Granny. That's ridiculous. YOU were the more beautiful one!" At that very second I felt someone....someTHING....pinch the back of my shirt and pull it straight out. Immediately made my hair stand up. My cousin saw it too and immediately and became wide-eyed and petrified. My grandmother's sister had been dead for some time. I believe that she was either telling me to shut up, or COMMENDING me on doing right where she was no longer able to. Maybe she died feeling guilty about that. I can only guess.

It seems that the pinching and pulling of the back of a living person's shirt is a common ghostly prank, and I saw an account of the same thing on the Unsolved Mysteries TV show.

I had something very similar happen in Peru once. My wife was talking to a clerk in a hostel trying to get us a room. I asked the clerk how old the building was. She said 1940's, and I was like "Oh, really? It seems to be an even older style, like 1800's." And one second later I felt what seemed like a gentle pat on my back, like "Good boy"! 😄

I have other stories to tell, but they'll be in other posts.

when the drs thought my mother was on her way out, we were in the hospital in that special room for family to be with their loved one... my father is italian & she was from texas, so she understood spanish enough to know italian ( living w/ italian in laws, that's all what was spoken) but she couldn't really speak it for a lengthy conversation, until when she was hospitalized. she started speaking fluent italian with a back & forth to - ??? it had to be my father's parents on the other side. don't know what was really said, but after a couple hours, she just started to rally & ended up being pretty ok for a couple more years.
she said she didn't remember 'seeing anybody' but did say she dreamt of a beach & the sand was all pearls.

My grandparents spent the last 3 years of their lives in a nursing home, voluntarily. There was some kind of disgusting smell there.....or at least to ME it was disgusting. I couldn't really tell what it was. It definitely smelled organic, but it wasn't the "death" smell....as I know people will probably reply with that opinion! It was like day-old room-temperature school lunch food mixed with dirty laundry...or something.

Anyway, soon after my grandmother died we set about cleaning, and claiming and removing all their stuff from their old house since they were finally both gone. We would all spend a day or two there working on it as our schedules permitted. Once my uncle and I spent the night there and in the morning I awoke to that ghastly smell from the nursing home...even though I hadn't been there in months! It really creeped me out and I struggled trying to find a practical explanation for it, but to no avail.

ya, that's perplexing. maybe it signified something else from the nursing home & showed up because your grandparent's own home had their own essence & they intertwined?

Oh oh! There's supposed to be a ghost story at the place that used to be
Georgia Military Academy. There was a battle fought there but the houses
are still standing. It's owned by Hilton now. Or Hilton leases 1/3 the property from the people or something.
