I don't think that's going so well.

Those recent ICE arrests didn't seem very effective. And even if the wall goes up, it doesn't do anything to address people overstaying their visas, which is a huge chunk of the illegals here.

If you guys really wanted to get serious about getting illegals out, just make e-verify mandatory and severely punish people for hiring illegals.

I've read some of the posts here and to be FAIR -- this isn't that simple.. Less likely the shifts are about non-immigrants voting and changing results than many of you think..

Texas is a victim of it's own success.. Governor LOVES to brag how many big businesses are relocating there from NY an California.. The LIKELY explanation for the political shift is THAT it is HIS fault... Too many un-documented Blue state refugees... LOL.... Need quotas on Blue State immigrants...

Tennessee has the same problem.. Is stealing business like crazy from the Blue states.. Probably should LIMIT that crap...

Resident citizen Hispanics in general are not FOND of the "open borders" concept by wide margins. They are not ones turning Texas purple... The major shifts are right at the border and in the blue cities... The blue cities have the "stolen" blue labor and the shifts at the border is because of large amounts of support services and facilities for immigrants and legal/social services... Largely Fed and state employees that try to assist recent immigrants..
