Late night TV is particularly dead with their political correctness and continued Trump TDS, but when was even the last good movie that came out that was a comedy?

Neither Blazing Saddles nor Airplane would stand a snowball's chance in hell of being released today due to the woke cultural revolution.
Just look at the number of humorless "stick in the mud" liberals on this board if you wonder why comedy is dead.

Look at a list of the established types of comedy and you will find that liberal "wokeness" has killed all but a couple.....Even the comedy the woke like is often mean-spirited and not funny at all.

TYPES OF COMEDY

  • Slapstick — physical gags (e.g., Charlie Chaplin or a pie in the face)
  • Parody — deliberately mimics or ridicules another
  • Spoof — a light parody, less focused on ridiculing
  • Satire — mocking a section of society or politics
  • Irony — when the opposite of what’s expected happens
  • Sarcasm — scornful response, sometimes ironic
  • Farce — extreme exaggeration of characters and circumstance
  • Dark comedy — where humor touches even serious subjects
  • Surrealism — abstract situations, juxtapositions, or non-sensical humor

The world can no longer take a joke—unless said jest is had at the expense of "Nazis". Then again, these days, "Nazi" can be any person or group, depending on speed and direction of the wind. One day it's the Russians, the next it's the Catholic Church . . . and on and on and on . . .

The leftists on this board are miserably unhappy and so are attracted to the demagoguery of identity politics.

The entire democrat approach these days is to divide people into sub groups of imaginary victims who are pitted against the greater society as a whole.

People who are happy and content don't fall for that crap.

Anyone using the word Nazi unless in the historical context should be locked in a small cube and shown Hitler Downfall parody videos with the volume turned up to 11.

Joe is not funny and never has been.

For the woke left, the chance to increase their advantage over someone and thus their power overrides any joy they would get from comedy.

Liberals watching yet another dumb, ignorant lazy white husband getting scolded by his superior, beautiful and brave wife...

Liberals seeing a scene where a white male does something smart... that his better looking, thin amazing wife didn't think of
