Remind me when a Dem prez asked a Dem governor to gerrymander his state in order to try to maintain control of the House.

They didn't have to ask. The dems already did it. Trump just wants to play catch up. I say bring on the gerrymander thing full force because the dems are already mostly gerrymandered to the hilt and we've got 2/3 of the states red and 1/3 blue. So, bring on the fight. We totally welcome it.

It is disheartening to see matters come to this. To have to cheat in response to a cheater. (Yes, I know both parties have gerrymandered. But never as trump has directed in TX.) Democrats invented Gerrymandering, and have been practicing it wherever possible ever since. Some States like my own Pennsylvania have had Republicans do it, with some success.

Two things have changed, having nothing to do with Trump. (1) Technology has made it possible to get incredible results with Gerrymandering - California is already a "good" example - and (2) a few State legislatures have realized that there is no legal mandate to do it ONLY after a new census - every ten years. You can do it anytime you like, without specific legislation to prevent it.

The one constant is this: If your party benefits from Gerrymandering, then you think it's great; and if your party suffers because of it, you think it's a "threat to democracy." So shut the **** up. Elections have consequences. Deal with it.
