This is not about China. China has the same effect on the US economy as a high-tech manufacturing plant, requiring only a few engineers to watch over the robots. That is why Apple is moving some manufacturing back to the US -- operating robots in US is just as cheap as in China (if not cheaper). But it will have little effect on jobs.
The income inequality is growing for the past 30 years, and this trend is not going to end anytime soon. The only solution to this problem is equalising the outcomes somewhat through higher taxes on the rich and supplemental income to the low income workers.
Otherwise it is going to be the "Player piano" world.
Spoken like a true communist, government playing ******* Robin Hood is the only answer. If that's true this country is doomed.
The irony is that liberals were doing exactly the opposite since Keynes times -- they were arguing that we can make capitalism work, that its deficiencies can be fixed while preserving its free-market foundations.
Communists, on the other hand, believe that capitalism cannot be fixed and, thus, must be replaced with something else (e.g. a centrally planned economy).
The right wingers can't see that difference because they are dumb.
