He's a member of the House.

I heard him on TV this morning, but I couldn't find a link so I'll give
a brief overview.

Most folks saw Bernie admit that the Tax Reform Bill is going to be good
to Americans. Hell, they all have to do that, because in 30+ days, 85%
of working Americans are gonna have more money in their pockets.

But Bernie when he made his announcement, highlighted a new talking
point for the Dems. He continued to ramble about the Tax decreases just
being temporary.

Rep Davis of Ill is gonna either get the Dems to go against their far left base
or they'll have to take that Temporary Talking Point off the table.

He's gonna introduce legislation when the House reconvenes to make those
Tax rates permanent for everybody. The Dems either vote for that and piss off
their far left electorate or they take it off the table and never open their mouth
again about Tax Reform.

Finally, Trump's intellect seems to be filtering down. IMO the GOP has always
been weak on Strategic and even Tactical Moves. Davis seems to "get it."
He's going to box them in using their own talking points.

You go Rod...

Trump's lack of intellect is filtering down. For this to pass under reconciliation, it would have to be paired off with either tax increases or spending cuts. Otherwise Democrats would have the power in the Senate. They would likely force votes on amendments to pay for it by raising taxes on the rich or business taxes. That is a can of worm the Republicans will not want to open.

Your lack of reading comprehension is astonishing, the whole point is to force Dem's on record as having voted against making the cuts permanent thus eliminating their talking point. :itsok:

a) they vote no and are see as huge hypocrites and liars
b) they vote yes and this issue is no longer a talking point

They offer amendments to raise taxes and close some of the tax loopholes so Republicans have to vote against them. That is what should have been done originally and no money should have been siphoned to pay for business tax cuts.

Moron (you and the asshole Ron).........The reasons why THAT cannot be done without raising the tax rate on the wealthy is because of congressional rules on WHAT would have to be BORROWED ......
