Some sexual education programs are partially dependent on the fact the one's sexual preference is somehow hardwired in humans. One is required to believe that for this education to be successful. It relys heavily on the fact that the human brain is NOT hardwired and can be therefore shaped to merely absorb this information without resistance.
It's a well thought out plan except for the fact that we cannot prove that the brain is NOT also hard wired to inherently reject the teachings in this program. Is the child a failure if they do not "feel" as they should after this educational effort ? If they remain homophobic after completing the course for instance is the child to blame for somehow being too stupid to get it or are fear or anger something that is also hardwired--for a reason ?
In OTHER words----if sexual preferences can be hard wired, why can't attitudes and gut instincts ?
