I mean, we came over to the new land and handily conquered the natives. It was most certainly not THEIR land. The Indians did not own it. They did not have deeds. No such system of property ownership existed at the time. Therefore, it is entirely incorrect today to allege that the land belonged to (I.e., was owned by) the Indians. At most, they were squatters on the land. U.S. white European settlers had just as much right to the land as did the Indians.
Second, we swept the Indians off the land with the ease and efficiency of Democrats sweeping drug addicts and homeless people off the streets of blue cities when a VIP visits, or when a major event occurs there that places them in the spotlight. You really have to applaud the Europeans for being so effective at this. Essentially, we evicted the Indians.
And, yes, some Indians suffered. But we clearly mitigated their loss by giving them minority status, and all the perks that go along with that, sovereign reservation on OUR land, casinos, and more fire water than anyone can consume in a million years. Not only are we square with the Indians, but they got MORE than they may have deserved.
So, think about it. What, exactly, is there to celebrate on “Indigenous People’s Day”. This is a holiday created by white people, btw; so again, you are welcome. Essentially, we are celebrating a group of uncivilized and backward people who, among other things, are ok with marrying and impregnating 12 year old girls, and who, despite their “proud” native heritage, allowed themselves to be conquered, and taken advantage of like a drunk girl at a frat party at Roofy University. Honestly, is this anything that we ought to be celebrating?
American Indians are, generally speaking, cool people, so long as they are not swept up into the leftist “oh, woe is me, I is a victim o’ da white devil” thing. But their history in America is one of shame and ridiculousness. I mean, if you are one who would sell the entirety of the island of Manhattan for a bottle of booze and a quick handy-j behind a bush, you have absolutely no concept of property ownership and what that means. The entirely false assumption that their mere presence on the land equated to vested ownership is an act of applying western standards upon these people, which is insulting to them.
Indians were just some jack-offs like anyone else, except they lived in a very primitive society. What would they have done if we had not shown up? Eventually, they would have sold out anyway. They would have had to once they saw how the rest of the world was living: booze, guns, whites women … all the things that make life worth living. And, yes. They would have seen this. They would not stay out of reach from the rest of the world. North America is not a tiny island located in some remote and desolate jungle. They were NEVER going to maintain their situation in North America.
