When they're paid with taxpayers money, then it's our business. They aren't. It isn't. I have no real issue with private sector unions. It's the bastards sucking the taxpayer dry that's the problem. Public sector employees are paid for by us, we pay for their greed.
*I'm not saying that all public sector people are greedy - but their unions are destroying the country.*
This issue as well as the disparity of income between the ultra-rich and the rest of us are the straw man arguments used by the libs as an offset to their weak argument vis a vis public employee unions.
In other words, they are full of shit.
Due to rules it is a requirement for radio and tv personalities who work in closed shop states or where their broadcast signal is engineered from, to be members of AFTRA.
For example, because the Rush Limbaugh show is actually braodcast out of New York City, technically all on air talent has be AFTRA members. The reason being if they did not join the union, the unionized support workers would be prohibited by their respective unions from working on that personality's show. Additionally. For those who listen to Limbaugh,
notice how his call screener Bo Snerdly(sp) whom Limbaugh speaks with on air, is never heard on air himself, the reason is because if Snerdley does go on air, he then MUST be paid an additional amount as prescribed in the AFTRA union contract.
In any event, this is much ado about nothing. These people are AFTRA members because they have to be. Not because they want to be.
Nice try though, OP.....
