It seems to me that people have an unhealthy obsession with Israel and/or Jews, possibly stemming from anti-Semitism. In my view Israel is justified in its efforts to eradicate Hamas, after the brutal attack on 10/7. Hamas has literally claimed they will repeat the massacre "until Israel is annihilated". Diplomacy has limits, and sometimes nations must take drastic actions to ensure the safety of their people, even if innocent civilians may become collateral damage. It may be unjust, but that is the reality of war. Other nations have done far worse in retaliation for far less, but nobody bats an eye. Saudi Arabia's war in Yemen has killed orders of magnitude more people than the conflict between Israel and Gaza, but as far as I know, I don't see protests against Saudi Arabia. People around the world need to stop being concerned with a faraway country of 10 million people and focus on solving the problems they have at home.
