Every city in Germany was in worse shape than Gaza. The RAF spent the entire war deliberately trying to kill as many German civilians as possible. There were no safe zones, no food drops, and no temporary cease fires to allow civilians to leave the target zones. Israel is trying to defeat Hamas and recover the hostages that Hamas took on October 7th, or at least their bodies. All Hamas has to do to end the war is to surrender the hostages and lay down their weapons.

The purpose of Bomber Command indiscriminately bombing German cities was to kill civilians and “dehouse” them. That’s not my opinion, it’s right out of “Bomber” Harris’ mouth.
