Hakeem Jeffries promises that masked ICE agents will be identified

Probably why Carter pardoned him
As I recall Carter didn't pardon G Gordon Liddy but did commute his sentence down to eight years. I think he served a little over four years and was paroled. He had a radio program for awhile that was put on here on our #1 station for a short while. But after a monologue in which he described dozens of ways you can kill somebody, the station decided he wasn't right for Albuquerque. (I had to agree.)

He pretty much faded from the public scene after that. I recall he died I think three or four years ago.

But those in the public eye do need to be aware that their words carry more weight and influence than do us 'little people' expressing our opinions on message boards and social media. But nobody should be allowed to dox/threaten public officials who are simply doing their jobs.

Lame.

A campaign stunt done during the convention isn't like government mandates, dummy.

It's also not like the fact that 5 years after the pandemic, you leftists can still be spotted wearing face-diapers.
.

It is indeed the way to identify the very few left cultists around here.

In my little town, they're almost illegal except in the nursing home and a doctor's office, but we still see some in the city.

These guys are already doing SUCH a dangerous job. The last thing they need, are death threats to them or their families.

Seriously, what is wrong with Dems? How have they gotten to the point where they actually hope for physical harm to others?
.

All they have is violence and hate.

I remember back when I was a proud liberal democrat, and we were actually about charity and tolerance.

Then the "progressives" happened.

.

Wouldn't you think a politician, even a democrat, would be more interested in identifying anti-Semitic protestors who are breaking the freaking law than unmasking hard working Police Officers?

"Hakeem Jeffries promises that masked ICE agents will be identified:

"This is America. This is not the Soviet Union. We're not behind the Iron Curtain. This is not the 1930s. And every single one of them, no matter what it takes, no matter how long it takes, will, of course, be identified."

Per the Trump admin, ICE agents are wearing masks because people are posting their photos online with death threats to their families.

Jeffries, of course, knows that."

I guess threatening the lives of federal agents and their families with human smuggling cartel violence is
how Democrats hope to win the midterms. Good luck with that. This is what we mean by the Democrat Party has been
captured by the radical Left.
And just how does tis idiot feel about the rioters and criminals who hide their faces behind masks to avoid being identified? Seems to him that they are justified in doing so just so that they may continue breaking the law. Hypocritical bastard.

Sorry dewd, but they must declare to get a visit to a judge and it must be when they enter, not arrested two years later.
With language mirroring the Fifth Amendment, under the Fourteenth Amendment, the government (federal and state) cannot deprive any "person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law." As noted above, the Fourteenth Amendment is part of a trio of amendments passed in the aftermath of the U.S. Civil War.

Who is subject to due process?

Due process protections apply to all individuals, both citizens and non-citizens, within the United States. This includes both natural persons (human beings) and legal persons (like corporations). The Fourteenth Amendment specifically prohibits states from depriving "any person" of life, liberty, or property without due process of law. Similarly, the Fifth Amendment applies to the federal government.

Here's a more detailed explanation:
  • Natural Persons:
The term "any person" in the Fourteenth Amendment is interpreted to include all individuals, regardless of their citizenship status or race, according to the Supreme Court in Yick Wo v. Hopkins, 118 U.S. 356 (1886).

  • Legal Persons:
The Supreme Court has also recognized that due process protections extend to corporations and other legal entities, as seen in Munn v. Illinois, 94 U.S. 113 (1877).

  • Scope of Protection:
Due process ensures fair treatment and a chance to defend one's rights when the government seeks to deprive someone of life, liberty, or property.

  • Procedural Due Process:
This refers to the specific procedures that must be followed when the government takes action against an individual, such as the right to a fair hearing, notice of charges, and the right to present evidence.

  • Substantive Due Process:
This aspect of due process protects certain fundamental rights that are not explicitly mentioned in the Constitution, but are considered to be essential for liberty, as discussed in Board of Regents v. Roth, 408 U.S. 564 (1972).

Illegals are not entitled to due process.

Now where's the link the Constitution says anything about masks?
That is not what US Constitution says, and never has been. Do you support the US Constitution or do you even think about it?
