According to the Springfield Mayor, City Manager, Police Department and other in that Ohio city, it was just another lie of Donald Trump. Nobody cares what people eat in other countries, only here and here, it is not happening. Trump has been listening to his goofy VP candidate and that nut ball Loonie Loomer.

The fact that Haitians utilize cat meat is simply a cultural thing. Many cultures around the world eat things that would be repulsive or wrong to most Americans and we Americans eat things that are offensive to other cultures. Taboos against eating certain things go back to at least Old Testament Biblical times.Trump was right. And why is that? Americans mostly view eating beef as okay, but horsemeat is not okay. Eating pigeon (squab) or pheasant or quail or doves or duck/geese is okay but eating peacocks or robins or roadrunners or swans or pelicans/seagulls is not okay. And so on. Who decided on what was okay to eat and what was taboo in America? Who knows? But it is all part of our culture.
So if Haitians are eating cats, we might recoil in disgust, but it does not make them evil. If they are capturing pet cats and using them as food, that is something quite different.
We helped our pastor and family assimilate a new legal Vietnamese immigrant family into our small western Kansas town culture. At one point they purchased a plump dog from the local animal shelter and proceeded to butcher it and cook it in the back yard. The neighbors were incensed. We explained to them that this was okay in their former country but not here. Terribly embarrassed and eager to fit in they understood that anything available in the super market was okay to eat but other things might not be. They checked with us re gifts of food given to them. We would tell them the pig or whatever was okay but to have it professionally butchered. Don't do it on their residential property.

You mean in "Red" States, the small towns are run by Democrats? Why is that? Did they have trouble with Republican crooks and mismanagement? Afterall, that is a "Red" State and Clark County was a Trump county as recently as the 2020 Election.

I don't know that it is a fact Haitians in Springfield are eating cats. So I won't say they are until I can be reasonably sure it is a fact. If that makes me a moron so be it.

Or one could use the cat to help claw catch the fish & even use a claw for a hook-but hey this wholE election is about just that, PROBLEM SOLVING, VOTING FOR THE BEST PROBLEM SOLVER THAT WILL GIVE US PLENTY TO EAT WHILE the ones in power now screw up everything needing that skill to solve their mess and who's only solution is to eat cats and bugs and worms and like it while they scoff down the beef they said we can't eat.
