Step 2: outlaw bullets, there's no constitutional protection for bullets. Even if you think that there is, outlaw the sale of bullets and let people have to make their own.

Could you provide your source of information? Although I do agree that the prevailing thought is that law enforcement wants everyone to carry, which I think is BS, I am not sure that is what the NRA advocates.

Interesting. My idea is a bit more radical but I think would work.

Seeing as how most mass killing and gang banger shootings are done by males under the age of 30, that would be my cut off.

No gun sales to men under 30. If you are under 30 and get picked up possessing a gun, go directly to jail for 10 years or until the age of 35. Gun residue. Go to jail. Murder someone. Forfeit your life.

Take guns away from those that use them the most for societal harm and see what happens.
