Gun Group Plans To 'Hunt Down The Republicans' Who Opposed Texas Open Carry Bill

Rather than being hunted down, targeted and intimidated by the gun nuts, I think everyone who understands the dangers of adding more guns to already gun-riddled communities should join the NRA!

Think about it. The NRA has about 4 million members. If 4,500,000 Liberals joined up, we could march into their next meeting and make some substantial changes.

The first change I would advocate is a return to the original mandate of the NRA. that is to be an organization that promotes gun safety for sportsmen. Stop being a lobbyist for gun manufacturers and promoting everything from guns in the classroom to cop killer bullets. Fire Wayne LaPierre. Stop making contributions to politicians.

Put the strongest gun lobby back in its original box.

You do realize that you are completely wrong...right......that there are more people buying and carrying guns for protection.....and the gun murder rate, and the accidental gun death rate is going down, not up.......

And the first half of 2014 saw decreases in violent crime....as 2013 was one of the biggest years for gun sales......

It would be nice if they'd only shoot each other but they usually hit innocent bystanders too.

You do realize you are completely wrong...right....that there are about 8-9,000 gun murders each year...comitted by gang members and drug dealers in inner cites, for the most part, and confined to small, multi block areas in those cities....and these killers are not legally allowed to own, or carry the guns they use for murder....

However....law abiding citizens use guns on average, 1.6 million times a year to stop violent criminal attack and save lives, and if you believe anti gun nut numbers...they only have to kill criminals about 238 times each year....the rest of the time they scare off or hold the criminal for the police and at worst, injure rarely and kill only in the most rare of circumstances......

Right?

Seems to me this group is exercising their lawful rights as citizens to participate in the election process, something you libs say you champion and defend so what's the problem?
No one is opposed to folks participating in the political process. Just the politics of guns for everybody.

The left has a habit of attempting to silence and suppress the rights of those they disagree with, while defending the free speech and rights of those they agree with.
If you can make the majority of folks actually believe that adding guns to a gun addled society is the answer, go ahead and make it! If you can make the argument that a school teacher must pack heat, make the argument. If you think that every citizen should openly carry a handgun for their own safety, make the argument.

But don't 'hunt down' legislators or 'target' congressmen because they find your arguments irresponsible.

The founders of this great nation gave us the 2nd amendment hence the onus is on gun haters to make an argument. So go ahead make your argument, amend the U.S. Constitution if you have the stones. lol

I'll let Justice Scalia make the argument, if you don't mind:

(since SCOTUS decisions are the law, they are the Constitution)

District of Columbia v Heller - Justice Scalia

Like most rights, the Second Amendment right is not unlimited. It is not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose: For example, concealed weapons prohibitions have been upheld under the Amendment or state analogues. The Court’s opinion should not be taken to cast doubt on longstanding prohibitions on the possession of firearms by felons and the mentally ill, or laws forbidding the carrying of firearms in sensitive places such as schools and government buildings, or laws imposing conditions and qualifications on the commercial sale of arms. Miller’s holding that the sorts of weapons protected are those “in common use at the time” finds support in the historical tradition of prohibiting the carrying of dangerous and unusual weapons.

Gun control advocates have been losing SCOTUS decisions, they pass unconstitutional laws infringing on our 2nd amendment rights and the SCOTUS bitch slaps them. I'm challenging your suggestion that a majority agrees with gun control advocates. If so then amend the U.S. Constitution, since you are losing SCOTUS decisions this seems your only option. It should be easy you say a majority agrees with you so have at it.
