OK. So, the left's big thing is they want to pass gun control legislation in order to keep guns out of the hands of criminals. That's their big gun control argument. In fact, there is already a federal law meant to keep guns out of the hands of people with previous criminal convictions. But, that's not the paradox. The following is the paradox;

The liberal justices on the Supreme Court just voted for freeing a man sentenced to 27 years for violating that federal law meant to keep guns out of the hands of people with previous criminal convictions. So, these liberals seem perfectly fine with allowing criminals who broke that law and were found to have guns in their possession to be set free to do it all over, yet again. And again, and again, so, even if more gun control legislation were passed, these people would eventually get guns again if you keep on giving them enough chances.

This case isn't over the facts, it's over the process.

That said, my previous statement stands.

Your interpretation of the case before the court is incorrect. They were not deciding on the facts of the case against the man, merely whether he should have another bite at the apple to have it considered.

Jones tried to reopen his case following the 2019 decision, but a federal appeals court ruled against him. The issue in the case is technical, though important, and involves when defendants can make their claims in court, not the facts of Jones' case.

Justice Clarence Thomas wrote for the court that people who have used up their appeals don't get another day in court “based solely on a more favorable interpretation of statutory law adopted after his conviction became final.”

Only two instances, newly discovered evidence or the court's new interpretation of a constitutional provision, authorize a second bite at the apple under a 1996 federal law meant to limit federal appeals, Thomas wrote.

I am no fan of Thomas, but Justice Thomas is correct.

The facts are being ignored because Americans can't accept that their country is fully immersed in a culture of death, murder, and continuous wars.

The cause of the huge problem has been wrongly placed on the guns.

Even the AR-15's are innocent of any blame. The Americans who choose them and act out with them are the guilty.

Why do so many choose a weapon of war 'lookalike'?

Why are military style weapons so popular?

Why do 'they' dress up in camo costumes and go to ranges to shoot at human silouette targets? [\b]

If we treated criminals and nutballs like what they are and seperated them from society we wouldn't need gun control.

You nationwide ban guns and destroy every single gun in America right now and you know what would be here still? Criminals and nutballs that want to hurt people. Getting rid of guns wouldnt solve anything. Guns are not the problem.

What would you rather have...........

A country free of guns?

Or

A country free of nutballs and criminals?

Gun control is as stupid as a mayor saying "we know there are a lot of drugs, rapes, murders and robberies in our city so I am spending 10 million dollars to install cameras allover the city". Well woopie freakin doo. That doesn't address the source of the crime at all. So you may stop a few more crimes but all the criminals and nutballs are still on the loose. They won't magically become upstanding citizens because you put cameras up.

You've accidentally stumbled onto the truth!

Now you need to face up to the reasons why there are far, far too many criminals and nutballs?

Because we allow them to thrive is why.

When america had its morals and values and standards we didn't tolerate crime. Even arcade games had demo screens that said crime doesn't pay. People were afraid of the police, course people who obeyed the law weren't afraid. Because we let sub groups and sub sub groups and foreigners have a say in our country and slowly erroded away what it means to be American and lowered the bar for our morals, and standards and values. Because we do shit like praise felon dopehead thugs like George Floyd. Because our legal system isn't about justice, it's about politics. We let snot nosed immature ass wipe 19 year olds have a voice. We glorify crime and misbehaving on social media by letting kids post them doing illegal shit and getting internet famous. Because white people let blacks trick us into thinking by forcing them to obey the law were racist. And a lot more.

Our country needs a really fucking big enema so we can start over clean.
